As you have read in the last post, the Marijuana Text Act has been adopted  by the congress in 1937 after a decade of lobbying and propaganda.

Propaganda against hemp by the Federal Bureau of Narcotics

Before the apparition of hemp and cannabis in the USA in the 1900’s, most of the medecine product were based on opium. Therefore, some people and some groups were finiancially dependent of the sell of opium based-products.

When medical products based on hemp appeared, those people were afraid that opium-based products would disappear because hemp-based products are easier to craft (because hemp is easy to grow…).

Those people have lobbied the government which resulted in the propaganda explained in the previous article and led to the adoption of the Marijuana Text Act that introduces a tax on everything related to hemp and hemp medecine.

They did that to protect their own interest and moreover they incited racial hatred.

    1. I think it was wrong because now the result is that hemp could be a lot more used and it would be better for ecology. And moreover, they did it to keep their privileges.
